Homeland Builders' "American Dreams Series" - (Custom Modular Homes or System Built Homes)

Homeland Builders also offers a new home alternative which is more affordable than our "Luxury Custom Home Built Series", which is stick built and completely field assembled.  The "American Dreams Series" is our factory "Systems Built Home", more commonly known as a "Modular Home".  Modular homes are engineered and constructed to be very cost efficient with most of the home being pre-fabricated at an off site climate controlled factory.  As the home is being constructed in the factory the builder will perform all the necessary lot site work along with the homes permanant foundation.  Once the home has been completed it is transported to the building site where the Builder sets the home on the foundation and applys all the finishing touches to produce a home that will match the quality and appearance of a stick built home.  

When you are looking to purchase a new home today, you may hear the terms modular or manufactured homes.  A modular home is not a manufactured home, simply put, a moduar home is set on a permanant foundation, whereas a manufactured home is brought to the site on a non-removable chassis, thus sometimes being refered to as a mobile home.  Another large distinguishing factor is that all modular homes must be built to conform to all state and local building codes unlike a manufactured home.  Local building inspectors check to make sure a modular home's structure meets building requirements and that all finish work is done properly.
