How to Prepare Your Custom Home for the Holiday Season

We’ve put together some helpful tips to make your custom home the place to be in your neighborhood.

Were you able to make your home merry and bright before the Thanksgiving holiday? Even if you weren’t, there’s still time to manage it for the end of the year holidays. How can you prepare your custom home for upcoming holiday season? We’ve put together some helpful tips to make your custom home the place to be in your neighborhood.

Clean the Outside

Part of welcoming any guest to your custom home is making the outside of it inviting. Your regular outdoor lighting is just as important as any lighting-based decorations you put up. Make sure it all works and is bright enough so everyone can see as the walk around outside. And be sure to get rid of any pests, such as wasps, that might be using the exterior of your custom home as their own.

Spruce Up Bathrooms

Chances are, your custom home features brand new bathrooms. If your grout is in need of some attention, brighten it up. If cleaning it isn’t enough, you might just have to add a new layer instead. Keeping clean is also important to making everyone staying with you feel better. Some clean towels for bathing and washing up are a must.

Don’t Forget Bedrooms

Don’t forget about the bedrooms your guests will be sleeping in when they stay with you. Be sure to change the bedding and give them some fresh and clean linens to use. Also, make sure to clear out some space in the closet so they have some room to spread out. Even if they have a large suitcase with them, they shouldn’t need to use that as their only space for belongings. Lastly, make sure the alarm clock and the lamp on the nightstand are bright enough and functional enough that they can wake up or go to sleep when they wish.
